1. The word "juvenile" means young and the word "delinquent" means a person who does wrong or breaks the law. Society characterizes members of the Jets and Sharks as juvenile delinquents. In the song, "Gee, Officer Krupke", the Jets make fun of how the different authorities within society treat juvenile delinquents. What are the four different authorities that the gang members pretend to be in the song? What are some of the reasons or excuses used by the juvenile delinquent to explain his bad behavior? How do the authorities treat the juvenile delinquent?
